[Roger, BETA!] International Women’s Day: Gender Responsive Budgeting for Social Justice

On this year’s special day, not only do we want to raise awareness on economic gender inequalities, but also possible solutions to it. Many countries have started to implement Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB). This term refers to the incorporation of gender analysis on all steps of budgeting to ensure that every gender benefits equally from government expenditures. By requiring governmental bodies to evaluate the gender impact of government policies, nations hope that gender gaps will be minimised or even abolished.
Celebrate today by commending and learning from the countries that have succeeded in adopting GRB to achieve social justice globally!
To all the women out there, remember to “Step out of the history that is holding you back and step into the new story you are willing to create.” – Oprah Winfrey
